Holobiontes explores the interdependence of living things. Eight performers create a protean work, blending dance and microbiology to represent human-animal-mineral hybrids, questioning anthropocentrism. For HOLOBIONTES, the set design was born from an image created with the choreographers in my studio. Inspired by my exhibitions and textile installations, the idea was to think of the stage as a living exhibition. From the initial visual, the scenography unfolded as evolving structures, weavings, and fluid textiles in space, with which the dancers continuously interact and play. Together they compose an ever-shifting landscape, between immersive installation and stage space.
Laetitia Bica created the hypnotic set design for 𝐻𝑜𝑙𝑜𝑏𝑖𝑜𝑛𝑡𝑒𝑠 by demestri+lefeuvre, the result of a remarkable visual collaboration involving photography, optical aberrations, and microscopy. Work produced with Sofie Durnez.𝐻𝑜𝑙𝑜𝑏𝑖𝑜𝑛𝑡𝑒𝑠 by the company demestri+lefeuvre is a hybrid form at the intersection of dance, visual arts, and microbiology.Interview produced with Théâtre Varia, co-presented with Charleroi danse.
